A 40-day community mitzvah challenge

Mitzvos for Michal

רפואה שלמה מיכל רות בת ברכה יהודית

Michal is a little girl in our community fighting cancer. From Rosh Chodesh Elul (August 13) through Yom Kippur — the 40 days of teshuvah — we're each taking on one mitzvah in the merit of her complete recovery.

mitzvos for Michal — and counting
1
Pick your mitzvah
Choose something you're not already doing — a real stretch for you. There's no hierarchy: every step counts the same.
2
Keep it for 40 days
Rosh Chodesh Elul (August 13) through Yom Kippur (September 20–21). We'll send you reminders and everything you need to succeed.
3
Carry Michal with you
Every commitment adds to the count and joins the wall below — one community, hundreds of merits, one little girl.

Meet Michal 💛

She's sweet, she's silly, and she has a fight ahead of her that no child should have to face. Our sages teach that Torah, tefillah and acts of kindness can change what happens in this world. So we're not just hoping — we're doing. Forty days. One mitzvah each. All of it for her.

Please keep her in mind by her full name: Michal Rus bas Bracha Yehudis · מיכל רות בת ברכה יהודית.

Choose your mitzvah

Pick something that stretches you — if you already do it, reach for the next step. Already daven Shacharis? Take on Mincha. Already learn daily? Add a session.
